Andrew T. Porter
Principal & Head Clothier
For more than twenty years, Andrew Porter has dressed the gentlemen of Central Indiana one conversation, one fitting and one relationship at a time. Today he receives clients by appointment at his private studio in Carmel City Center.
Not sales first.
Relationships first.
Every client, whether he's commissioning his first suit or his fiftieth, receives the same counsel, care and attention to detail.
I.
The Beginning
Andrew Porter Clothiers opened its doors in July 2003 in Indianapolis. Andrew began as a mobile clothier, meeting clients in their homes and offices and building a rapport with men who wanted clothing made for them, not simply sold to them.
That approach earned a loyal clientele and deep relationships across the custom clothing industry. Today it continues in an intimate, appointment-only studio in Carmel, and the personal service hasn't changed.

The Philosophy
Andrew refuses a sales-first approach. His work begins with education, helping each client understand fit, fabric and construction, and ends with practical solutions for his real sartorial needs.
- i.
Counsel before commerce
Every engagement starts with a conversation about how you live and work, not a sales pitch.
- ii.
Made for the man
Precision handmade garments with superior craftsmanship and exquisite detailing, cut for you alone.
- iii.
Relationships for life
The goal is never a single sale. It's a wardrobe and a partnership built over years.
III.
The Clientele
From Fortune 500 executives to a recent graduate entering his field, every gentleman receives the same attention to service and quality.
Andrew's expertise and long-standing industry relationships let him serve each client at the highest level, whether that's one essential suit, a complete wardrobe or a full wedding party.
